I found this website on manythings.com. It's a site with a lot of famous American stories in readable format (meaning it's written in a way that is easy to understand). It's written but there is also a recording of the story being read by a native speaker. Listening is important because you live in a town with very few native English speakers so you only ever hear English being spoken by non natives and you will probably learn incorrect pronunciation. By listening to a native speaker read, you will get you ears used to hearing correct English, and you will eventually train your tongue to speak correctly! So read or listen to these stories and enjoy some classic American liturature written by famous authors and read by native English speakers! It will impove your comprehension rate! If you have trouble with any of the vocabulary just type the word into google and the definition will pop up.
Have fun and remember that it takes time for a language to be mastered. Be patient with yourself, but persevere! [Definition for persevere: be persistent, refuse to stop; "he persisted to call me every night"; "The child persisted and kept asking questions" :) Taken from Google!]
